Good eggs Benedict, tea had funky water taste, was charged for coffee that we didnt order which they took off the bill. Fast service.

Great food, best service. Our go to for excellent breakfast overall. Not pricey at all, $7-10 range, I get the x2 eggs, x2 meat (sausage or bacon), and x2 pancakes (with chocolate chips). The pork chops are superb. Daily specials, no lunch served on Sundays, closed on Mondays. They decorate during holidays and special occasions, but Halloween is by far the best. Health nuts beware! This is a local grease spot, with all of its hearty goodness, accompanied by personable and splendiferous waitresses that keep your coffee cup full. *They also remodeled, so it's looks aesthetic and homey*

Recently we moved to Lake Mary. We saw a lot of nice reviews of the restaurant, so my husband and I decided to have brunch there on January 12th around 11am. We didn't know about the food, but a waitress was immediately rude to us, no employees cared that we were there. The waitress said no seats available but if we wait outside, she will let us know. We were waiting, saw some people walked in but didn't see them walking out the restaurant to wait for a seat. I walked back in the restaurant then asked the waitress if we needed a reservation as I saw people walked in after us but they didn't have to wait to be seated. She said we don't take a reservation. I have never felt in any restaurant that kind of rudeness atmosphere. We haven't felt that level of disrespect in a restaurant before. We didn't feel like having brunch there anymore so left.

When we arrived Appletons the place was extremely busy. Now I have worked in the industry so I understand how crazy it can be. They told me it would be 20 minutes turned out to be 45 minutes. Now I understand it can take longer than expected but it was the hostess dressed up in the corpse bride who is making this a 2 star. I went in to find out why a table the same party as us was sit before us. She was extremely rude to me when I was just trying to understand. I then realize she knew the party and wanted to take care of them before us. What saved this to a two star from a 1 Star was the waiter who extremely kind. He saved my business cause I was ready to write off Appletons

Ham and cheddar omelet was tasty but, the holiday decorations created a festive atmosphere.

Great food and amazing service. The decorations for Halloween and Christmas are great. The prices are fair and the portions are huge. Would definitely recommend eating here.

Nice neighborhood place for a lunch. Food was good and service was friendly. Nothing really stands out as unique about it, though.

The Western Omelette was the best I've ever eaten. Everything was hot when we were served and we didn't have to wait very long at all. Will DEFINITELY be going back!

Local spot for brunch. Great selection and very friendly servers! Family grown The fresh fruit cup had fresh sliced watermelon, strawberries, bluerries, melons, and more - way better than the regular fruit cup you would get at another breakfast chain. We visited the around Halloween and the place was decorated literally from ceiling to floor in Halloween decorations (better than many haunted houses or themed things I've been to) and the servers were in costume. Am definitely looking to go back!

Ah-mazing Halloween decor! So much fun to just walk around and see all the scary, spooky statues and different haunted themes at this place! We made it in on their last day of display and were so glad we did! The food was also good!*note - if you pay cash, you save 5% on your total bill! 👍

Sometimes a long wait, but worth it. Down and homey place with great holiday decorations to look at. Food has always been good. Maybe a tad pricier that some of the others. I like that they offer a discount if you pay with cash instead of using a CC also.

This is a gem of a place! Service rivals chick Fila service. The breakfast is great they cooked my bacon to perfection not burned or overly crispy. Servers make you feel like family and they pay attention to details, I didn't even have to ask for a coffee refill or napkins they just observed and brought it right over. I overheard Michelle one of the main servers walk over and ask an elderly gentleman how he was doing and that she was worried because she hadn't seen him in a while, and it just brought a smile to my face to know there is still some genuinely nice good hearted people out here. Tommy the one who was my server always has a smile to offer and is very polite. I think I will be coming here for a long time.

The coolest place hands down to enjoy a meal! The holiday decorations are extremely cool & the staff is FANTASTIC, but the main attraction is of course the DELICIOUS Food! A very popular spot for the locals, so if you haven't dined at Appleton's, hurry in, your missing out!

Cozy little Cafe with nice portions and very decent pricing. Waite staff here are always super friendly and the decor changes with the seasons. Sit on the patio out back if it's not too hot.

This place was fantastic! The food was delicious! The portion sizes are a very nice size, good blance of being a lot of food without being too much to eat. The menu has a good variety without being overwhelming. The service was fantastic! Our waitress was very on top of everything and extremely friendly and efficient. Easily one of the best small business dining experiences I've ever had! This place has absolutely earned it's high star reviews.

The staff is great, the food is delicious, very affordable, and that was the most decorated restaurant we’ve ever been to. If you have kids make sure to take them around the holidays.

A local gem. This place has been around since I was a little boy. Great home style meals. The staff is wonderfully friendly and the place is decorated to the ceiling with the spirit of the season. I ordered corned beef hash, over easy eggs, home fries and toast.The hash was very stringy , chewy and didn't seem to be cooked. The eggs were fine, the toast was dry. The home fries had no seasoning were under cooked. I ended up throwing out my meal.Very disappointed.

I absolutely love this place. Their Halloween display is better than any display I’ve ever seen. And their Christmas display is breathtaking. It’s a great environment to sit and eat and they have the best bacon ever.

Typically, this is my go-to place for breakfast. After my last 3 visits, I'm thinking of changing that. I don't know if they have changed owners, distributors, cooks, ingredients, or whatever. The service and quality has changed so much since 2012. I'm no longer impressed by Appletons However, the decor is out of this world (during holidays). Everyone must experience the Halloween season there.

Always love me some Appleton's. I have lived in and around Lake Mary for 30 odd years.... This place is a breakfast institution. My favorite is the Country Benedict. The menu is diverse yet everything is good. The waiters and waitresses are friendly and the coffee is endless. Highly recommend!

My entire family from grand kids to grand parents love Appletons. Their holiday decorations are worth visiting to enjoy by themselves. Just stopped in and enjoyed breakfast and Halloween decorations and everyone left happy. They've also got mimosas and beer.

Very tasty home style breakfast. Reasonable prices and they have covered outdoor seating as inside can be a little cramped. Good experience, would definitely return!

My wife and I visited here for lunch for the very first time around Halloween. If we hadn't been so hungry, we would have left immediately. The whole entire restaurant from side to side, top to bottom, every square foot was covered with Halloween decor. I'm talking full-on decor with screams, screeches, moving things, gore and flashing lights.Even the bathrooms had life size movinging, talking zombies! Because of the interiors' morbid death scene, we got a seat outside, alas a little quiter, but 7 ft tall Frankenstein still watching us eat with arms reaching for our necks and eerie sounds creeping in the background. This was WAY WAY over the top for a public restaurant, who would want to serve all the public and be respectful of their guests. The service was sublime, the food not memorable and the noise here was crazy loud. We were so offended that the owners would choose to delight in what they want to do (over the top gore decor), we will not be back.

Our first time in, server was on point, she helped us get exactly what we wanted. Food was good and came out quick. We'll be back if in the area again. Oh yea, I'm not a biscuit connoisseur, but that was the best biscuit I've ever had.
